How it all began
One of us struggled with restless sleep for years: too hot at night, constantly changing sleeping position, waking up stiff in the morning. We tried pillows – soft, firm, ergonomic – but none of them solved the problem.
Something unexpected happened during a trip: an improvised pillow, slightly higher than usual, suddenly led to calmer breathing and far less tossing and turning. It showed just how much sleep mechanics determine the quality of your night.
Back in Germany, the question arose: why are there almost no pillows that simultaneously take into account breathing, stability and temperature?
The answer was clear: because sleep is often thought about in individual parts – rather than as a system.

Observers became developers – then founders
Together with physiotherapists and sleep specialists, we tested fundamental principles:
- How can breathing remain freer throughout the night?
- What shape reduces unnecessary movement?
- What materials provide stable support without feeling hard?
- How can a pillow stay pleasantly cool all night long?
From sketches, prototypes and many nights of testing, the first Dormax prototype was created – a pillow that systematically supports rest rather than simply promising it.

What drives us
Sleep affects everything: movement, concentration, mood, wellbeing. Calmer breathing. Less tossing and turning. A pillow that provides support throughout the entire night.
Often, it is small, targeted adjustments that create significant relief.
We want to make this relief understandable – and accessible to everyone who simply wants to sleep better again.

What you'll find with Dormax
Products that reliably support the foundations of a good night's sleep:
- Calmer breathing, less snoring
- More stability during sleep, less tossing and turning
- Noticeable relief for the neck and shoulders
- A cooler, more balanced sleep environment
- True relaxation in the morning
No empty promises. No exaggeration. Just products that work because they were precisely designed to.
